What Can You Learn From Aries? Trust, Explore, and Learn as You Go.

Happy Astrological New Year!

Aries is the 1st sign of the zodiac and when the Sun enters this sign it kicks off a new journey through the 12 zodiac signs (and Spring!). The season of Aries began on March 19, 2024 and lasts through April 19, 2024.

Aries can be like a breath of fresh air and inspiration. As an archetype it’s known for its initiative and action-oriented energy. This sign doesn’t tend to overthink things. Aries has an idea and acts on instinct. With no plan in place, this can result in a trial and error process to complete a task, but that’s all part of the exploratory vibe that Aries exudes. It loves experimentation. Start something new and see what happens.

Let Aries remind you to trust your instincts.

If you didn’t feel like setting New Year's resolutions back in December or January, now can be a really good time to reflect on what you feel that you want to accomplish. Especially since Mercury, which is currently also making its way through Aries, is now retrograde. Retrograde times are good moments to pause and reflect. To make adjustments. To finish up tasks that may have fallen to the wayside. Mercury will be going direct again on April 25, 2024.

Through the practice of yoga we work towards balance.

The zodiac wheel offers us another opportunity to explore this balancing act.

Remember how Libra learns through relationships? Libra and Aries share an axis on the zodiac wheel - they are polarities of each other. While Libra learns through relationship, Aries learns through doing.

Maybe you notice that you tend to lean more heavily one way or another on the Aries-Libra axis. For example, within the Aries archetype is the raw motivation to assert your will. If you were to do this from a less evolved or immature place it could look like bullying or forcing your desires on others. If you notice this is your default and you no longer want it to be, consider looking to Libra for clues on how to balance and evolve. In the example above, Libra attributes like collaboration, partnership and fairness can be pillars to experiment with to bring yourself to a more centered place.
