Scorpio: Dig Deep and Find Courage for Transformation

Nov 21, 2023

Scorpio is a sign that gets a bad rap in pop culture astrology. Secrets, difficulty with vulnerability, manipulation, and ghosting are some of the things that people typically focus on. But we know better. We know that nothing in life is black and white, we live in the grey. And it’s the same with astrology. The signs and their archetypes express on a spectrum.

While Scorpio can express in the ways I’ve listed out, the archetype also has some beautiful attributes associated with it. My favorite - Scorpio is a sign of growth. Scorpio is a sign of transformation.

Digging deeper and uncovering the things that maybe you don’t want to know, but need to know. Learning that has the ability to change the trajectory of your life, or how you handle yourself in situations. The Phoenix rising from the ashes is an image often associated with Scorpio.

Scorpio season occurs from October 23 through November 21. This season lines up with the season of Fall in the northern hemisphere. The leaves change color and fall to the ground, the grass and flowers die. Death of the life we experienced in the summer months. But this loss and decay leads to nurturing for growth in the future. The decomposition feeds the future growth.

We are currently dealing with a lot of additional Scorpio energy. Mars is currently in Scorpio (Mars entered the sign on Oct. 12 and will exit it on Nov. 24) and on November 17 it conjoined (met at the same degree on the Zodiac Wheel and in the sky) the Sun in the sign of Scorpio. This event, when a planet and the Sun meet, is called a Cazimi. For Mars it happens every two years and starts a new cycle for Mars that will be infused with Scorpio energy. Your big “do’er” energy will be infused with Scorpio for the next 2 years.

We also just had a New Moon in the sign of Scorpio on Monday, November 13. Where in your chart does Scorpio reside? This information can help you to set intentions for how you want to begin new initiatives in alignment with your chart and Karma.

I’ve created a new playlist all about growth, change, and courage. Let’s aim to bring more of the positive aspects of the sign of Scorpio into our lives.
