Lessons from Taurus: With Some Effort, Your Life Can Be Beautiful and Fulfilling.

May 13, 2024

Taurus season can often be considered a sensual time of year.

The zodiac sign of Taurus is ruled by Venus, the Roman goddess of love, beauty and prosperity. In the study and application of astrology, the influence of Venus tends toward creative ability and a fondness for all things beautiful, such as art and music.

If you know someone with a lot of Taurean influence in their birth chart, you may notice that they are very down-to-earth while also being a bit of a romantic.

Taurus is the second sign of the zodiac and the first fixed and first earth sign.

The 12 signs of the zodiac are categorized by the modes of cardinal, fixed, and mutable. Fixed signs tend to be great at staying steady with their efforts. They are stable and sturdy.

Earth signs are the most solid of the four elements. In astrology, the zodiac signs are also categorized by the elements fire, earth, air, and water. Being more solid and structured, you may notice Taureans tend to exhibit qualities of dependability, perseverance, and practicality.

On the flip side, all of this stoicism and head-down-get-through-it mentality can result in Taurus being stubborn and having resistance to being rushed. Change isn’t often received well once a Taurus has set its sights on a path.

In fact, the mascot of Taurus is the bull. An animal that is thought to be strong, stubborn, and plodding but can also be gentle.

Not only is Taurus the sign of stability but with the esthetic influence of its ruler Venus, Taurus has a deep appreciation for the beauty of life. Good food, plush surroundings, and an ease with pampering themselves with comforts.

Taurean steadfastness, stability, and love of comfort shines a light on the signs' lifelong cultivation of security. Think along the lines of permanence in career, love, marriage, and home.

While we make our way through the remaining days of Taurus season (we’ll enter Gemini season on May 20th), think about how you can better embody patience and resilience in your life to work towards your goals.

And remember, the only thing in life that is constant is change. If you find you are resistant to change, like a hard-core Taurus may be, try to find ways to expand your openness to change and look for ways to grow within that.

Take your time.

For some fun, try to expand your ability to be receptive to pleasure in whatever form that takes.
